Slow progress

I have been distracted from sewing to day by a new book from the library - I knew I should not have started reading it, but I thought I would have a little read while I ate my lunch!! Well!! After two hours I had to put the book down and get moving - did a little gardening until the rain started - that was a very good excuse to come inside and start sewing --but I just had to read a little more of the book.......you see how my day went! Lol!! Anyway I have five finished blocks and one almost done, just two seams to do, which when I think about it is putting the block together really isn't it!! Tee hee!!
Combivan stars are coming along nicely!
Driving home from St Leonard's yesterday I could see the change coming in the weather - there were some interesting cloud formations happening.
clouds gathering over the bay at Geelong...

......looking back to Geelong...

heading out from Corio.....

....Long straight road to Bacchus Marsh....
I had better be off, have dinner to cook and goodies to gather for Christmas in July at group tonight....must find my Santa hat!! Lol!!
Happy sewing!

An afternoon of stripes

I have been sitting in the sun - inside the door- sewing the last bits on this KOGO rug, then I had to finish off all the ends of the stripes.....boy that took a while!  But now it is all ready to do the crochet edging so well worth the time and effort.
How nice just sitting in the sun sewing!! I am one lucky duck!!

See al the stripes.....

all the left over endy bits!!
took the chowdy for a walk this morning....was beautiful down at the beach.....

Tupai even went swimming.....well walking in the water.....

sun was shining.....

...found a lovely intact shell...and some beach glass.....
now I am off down the street to get something to cook for dinner and a chai!! Yum!!
Happy days!

This caught my eye!

I saw this in Typo this morning and couldn't help myself - yes this is how I am spending today...maybe the pizza will be changed with fish and chips though!! Lol!! I used to love the Peanuts cartoon back in the late 70's......oh dear must mean I am getting old when things you experienced when you were younger cycle back again!!

I have been sitting on the couch here doing a crochet edge on a KOGO blanket, nearly finished this one, not bad colours here and the squares were all a similar size so it went together well.

View out the back door at 4pm, just had to shut the door as it is cooling down!

And the very lovely Tania gave me a present yesterday.....how good is this??? This is to display when the supervisor is on the job, or maybe when he isn't so I can pretend he is!! Lol!! Thank you very much Tania! The supervisor is currently snoring under the table while resting on my feet! He must have had a big walk this morning!
I am off to practise being awesome!! Lol!! Now there is a challenge!!
Happy sewing!
